Datacom Institute of Computer Technology joins Brigada Eskwela

Datacom Institute of Computer Technology - Imus joined GEANHS' Brigada Eskwela on August 31, 2021, as they donated gallons of cleaning and sanitation supplies which are essential to keep the school premises and toilets clean. 

Datacom is a private educational institution located along Aguinaldo Highway that offers Senior High School and TESDA courses.
 

STI COLLEGE BACOOR EXTENDS GENEROSITY TO EMILIANS

Private organizations continue to support GEANHS' Brigada Eskwela for SY 2021-2022. On August 25, 2021, STI College Bacoor donated various office supplies, such as bond papers, which are beneficial in implementing distance learning modalities. The school also received cleaning supplies and hygiene supplies such as alcohol and face masks.

MR. PEÑA AIDS STRUGGLING READERS IN GEANHS

Recognizing the need for school materials, Mr. Ricky Peña donated supplies for Brigada Pagbasa on August 20, 2021. The school received essential school supplies such as pens, pencils, intermediate paper and bond paper, which are necessary to sustain distance learning modalities during pandemic.

These supplies will be distributed to identified Grade 7 to 10 learners who are part of the reading intervention program of the school to aid them in learning.
 

GEANHS LEARNERS WIN 2021 IMUS SOCIAL MEDIA FEST CONTESTS

Two Emilian learners placed 3rd in two competitions during the 6th Imus Social Media Fest (ISMF) organized by the City of Imus Youth Affairs Office on August 31, 2021. 


Eliza Mei Ongsioco won the People's Choices Award and the 3rd Place in I-Tiktok Mo (TikTok Dance Challege) Category. Ongsioco created her own dance challenge to the remix of ISMF 2016's theme "Kulay ng Imus."

Daniela Lorriane B.Brutas also bagged 3rd Place in TuTok: Turo Sa Tiktok (Tiktok Crash Course) Category, where she explained the COVID-19 in an engaging and creative presenration.

​

With the theme "Youth in COVID-19," ISMF 2021 aims to proactively address concerns related to the pandemic.
 

PEÑA, SOLIS RECEIVE GSP SERVICE AWARDS

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines Cavite Girl Scout Council conducted the Court of Awards on August 17, 2021 via Zoom to recognize the exemplary service of its members.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, School Principal was awarded the Jade on Gold Trefoil - Service Award. Ms. Abigail P. Solis, Science Teacher, was also awarded the Silver Trefoil - Service Award. 
 

GEANHS BAGS AWARDS IN 2ND CALABARZON SLAC DOCU-FEST 2021

Emilian teachers showcased their creativity as they bagged recognitions in the Short Docu Film Competition and Photo Essay Contest during the 2nd CALABARZON School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Docu-Fest 2021 on August 2, 2021.

Filipino teacher and School Paper Adviser for "Ang Bayani", Mr. Jerico Hiel B. Astillero's short documentary film entitled "Biyahero" was awarded 5th Best Short Docu Film. The documentary features the dedication of teachers who volunteer as module delivery riders and their impact to the lives of learners and their families.

Ms. Kimberly Anne G. Albarillo, English teacher, also won 4th Best Photo Layout and 5th Best Photo Essay for her work, "No Slack--SLAC". The photo essay highlights teachers' ingenuity and collaboration in implementing distance learning.
 

GEANHS PREPARES FOR SY 2021-2022; LAUNCHES OPLAN BALIK ESKWELA

In preparation for the start of School Year 2021-2022, GEANHS conducted the annual Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) from August 16 to September 13, 2021. To protect the health and safety of learners, parents and teachers, OBE was implemented through various communication channels as alternative to the traditional enrollment procedure. 

​

Social media sites and the school website served as venue for online enrollment campaigns to spread information to Emilians who wished to enroll in GEANHS. The school launched its OBE hotline to respond to queries and address concerns on enrollment and other school matters.


GEANHS also strengthened its enrollment process amid pandemic through its Online Enrollment form that students and parents could access through the school website and Facebook Page. For learners with no access to the internet, GEANHS partnered with nearby barangays for mobile enrollment.
