Division Technolympics 2018, held on October 4-5, 2018, served as a venue for students to showcase their skills and gifts in technical-vocational eduation. Through the nurturing mentorship of TLE (JHS) and Tech-Voc (SHS) teachers, students were able to compete in various competitions in the areas of Home Economics, Agri-Fishery Arts, Industrial Education, and Information and Communications Technology. For two straight days, GEANHS' student representatives performed at their best to win the awards. In the end, GEANHS was able to earn four wins: Geraldine Tabo, Franceene Mae Costa and Baddie S. Arañez, with their coach Mrs. Rechie V. Gasingan, got 2nd Place in Food Processing (Meat, Fish, Fruits and Vegetables). Lord Reniel O. Bernardino, accompanied by his mentor Mr. Mark Deo S. Esquita, snatched the 2nd Place in Computer Systems Servicing. James Zacharias and his coach Mr. Norence Paul L. Regis earned the 2nd Place in Electrical Installation and Maintenance. Finally, the team of Geraldine Tabo, Herlyn C. Villarama, and coach Mrs. Ma. Jocelyn Baldicañas gained the 3rd Place in Dressmaking.
As proof of service to the nation, GEANHS teachers gathered at the Science Laboratory on October 18, 2018 for the PNP Entrance and Promotional Examination Briefing. Conducted by the National Police Comission (NAPOLCOM), the orientation was held to prepare teachers who will act as room examiners for the upcoming exam on October 21, 2018.
In celebration of Farmers' Week, the City Government of Imus organized the Search for Oustandong Organikong Gulayan sa Paaralan where GEANHS was awarded 2nd Place. Ms. Ma. Alodia B. Marges and Mr. Aladino A. Pagulayan, teachers in charge of the Gulayan, and Mrs. Crisanta F. Caudal, TLE Department Head, received the recognition during the Awarding Ceremony on October 1, 2018 at Sangguniang Panlunsod Multipurpose Hall. "It is important to strengthen out implementation of Gulayan sa Paaralan and to involve the the entire community in doing so," Mrs. Caudal shared. The school administation, led by Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, continues to seek ways on improving and sustaining the Gulayan sa Paaralan.
Yet another milestone for the Generals, one of its promising teachers, Mr. Joseph R. Carreon, was selected as finalist for the Outstanding Researcher (High School) award. Mr. Carreon, accompanied by school principal, Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, was recognized during the Gawad Patnugot Awarding Ceremony held on October 8, 2018 at Sta. Rosa City Multipurpose Complex, Laguna. A research enthusiast and advocate, Mr. Carreon is a common figure in research conferences as presenter, resource speaker and BERF grantee. "Dissemination of these researches is essential for classroom improvement and policy planning and development. If all teachers will take part in research writing, all educational decisions will be evidence based and will surely benefit the Batang Imusenyo."
