In response to Mother Earth’s call for help, cities all over the world pledged for aid in the form of environmental sustainability. The City of Imus, a Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) awardee, joined the global call and designed its own programs for the environment. In its latest initiative, the city aimed to educate and involve young Imuseños in caring for the environment. In partnership with the

Schools Division of Imus City, elementary pupils and high school students joined the bandwagon of recycling.
In June 20, Eko-Operatiba Ecosavers Program was launched in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo National High School. A partnership with the City Government of Imus, City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and City of Imus Cooperative Development Office (CICDO), Eko-Operatiba encourages students to collect recyclable trash and convert them into money, which will be saved in their Eskwela Kooperatiba accounts. Through this activity, students can save the environment while saving cash for their future use.

In line with DepEd’s initiative to “engage education partners and stakeholders in preparation for the opening of classes”, GEANHS incited the National Oplan Balik Eskwela for SY 2018-2019 from May 21 to June 8. To ensure that all learners are properly enrolled, the Oplan Balik Eskwela Information and Action Center booth was formed. Its primary function was to address inquiries, issues, and other concerns usually met by stakeholders at the beginning of the school year.
