Homeaid Depot, Inc. Amplifies Altruism

For the third time, Homeaid Depot, Inc. donated home and supplies and cleaning materials to GEANHS, through the generous initiative of Mr. Tommy Uyliapco, Chairman, Mr. Lloyd Nicholai Uyliapco, President, and Ms. Marilou Cagampang, Administrative Manager.

 

On June 26, 2021, Homeaid donated boxes full of supplies, which are helpful in improvement and/or enhancement of school facilities. Mr. Pampilo B. Cerbito, Jr., Master Teacher II, received the donations.

 

Homeaid Depot Inc. is a retail and wholesale company in Bacoor City, specializing in home improvement merchandise.

On June 28-30, 2021, school research focal persons gathered in GEANHS' Online Hub for the conduct of Preparation of Year-End Reports and Target Setting, a program that aims to enhance participants' skills in preparing accomplishment reports relative to school-based researches.

 

Ms. Jenielyn A. Sadang, Education Program Specialist II, discussed the Preparatioon of Year-end Reports for SY 2020-2021. Ms. Matea Alvyn H. Trinidad, Senior Education Program Specialist - Planning and Research, expounded on Target Setting and Preparation of Action Plan.

Mr. Joseph R. Carreon, Teacher III and School Research Focal Person, added yet another recognition from his vast roster of awards.

Mr. Carreon was awarded Outstanding Educator of the Year during the 2021 Instabright International Awards for Educators held on June 26, 2021 via Facebook Live.

 

Conducted by InstaBright International Guild of Researchers and Educators, the program recognizes exceptional educators around the globe.

GEANHS SPJ Bags Medals from National Campus Press Olympiad

Campus journalists from GEANHS' Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) brought multiple recognitions for the school during the first-ever National Campus Media Olympiad (NCPO) held from March 20 - June 20, 2021.

 

Trixie Mae D. Del Rosario, Ang Bayani News Writer bagged First Place in Pagsulat ng Balita. Daniela Lorraine B. Brutas, News Editor of The Patriot, scored Second Place in News Writing.

The Patriot Graphic Artist, Julliana Andrea M. Eslava, secured Second Place in Traditional Editorial Cartooning. Brent Kyle Y. Ledesma, The Patriot Photo Journalist, also earned Second Place in Mobile Digital Photo Journalism.

 

David Andrew C. Ingco, Photo Journalist of Ang Bayani landed in Second Place in the 3 Pics + 1 Word Photo Contest, one of the side events of the tournament.

 

Through the mentorship of Ms. Melanie Mae N. Moreno, SPJ Coordinator, Emilian journalists successfully amassed awards in the national journalism tournament.

 

Organized by the BDCP Designers And Creatives Ph, Inc., the NCPO featured series of competition for grade school, high school and college students, which aim to emphasize the importance of multi-platform campus journalism in the new normal, and promote news literacy among campus journalists.

GEANHS Accommodates Division Online Demo of Teacher-Applicants

Two researches by GEANHS teachers were presented during DepEd CALABARZON's 5th Cycle Basic Education Research Fund Commencement held online on June 17, 2020.

 

ICT teachers, Ms. Mary Ann N. Villareal, Ms. Marycon Carmela G. Mella, and Mr. Michael B. Zuñiga shared their study entitled, "Batang Emiliano, Kalusuga'y Panalo: Information, Education and Communication (IEC) for Infectious Disease Mitigation.

 

Ms. Villareal and Ms. Mella also joined Ms. Joanne V. Cura for the discussion on their paper entitled, "Development and Validation of Contact Center Services (CCS) Learning Materials for Exploratory and Specialized TLE in Junior High School."

Emilian Personnel Participate in Earthquake Preparedness Drill

GEANHS partakes in the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council's (NDRRMC) mandate to reduce disaster risk through the conduct of the 2021 Quarterly National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED). Mr. Marlon Q. Martinez, School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Coordinator, spearheaded the conduct of drills and simulation exercises on June 10, 2021.

 

NSED aims to enhance community preparedness against earthquakes through regular drills and contingency plans.

City Govt And SDo Imus Team Up For Better Learning Delivery

On June 9, 2021, selected parents gathered in GEANHS Covered Court to receive tablets and other educational paraphernalia for their children, a realization of Maliksing Programa, which aims to distribute learning gadgets to struggling learners in elementary and secondary schools in Imus City.

 

City Government of Imus, through the leadership of Mayor Emmanuel L. Maliksi and Vice Mayor Arnel M. Cantimbuhan, strives for accessible quality education for Imuseño learners.

 

To address challenges in learning delivery caused by the pandemic, local government forged its partnership with the Schools Division of Imus City, headed by Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Mr. Ivan Bryan L. Inductivo.
